The Logitech MX Master 4 is a great improvement over the MX Master 3S. The Action Ring thumb button (formerly the Gesture button), now uses the natural opposing thumb action of the human hand which is less stressful on the joint. The addition of a third thumb button is a plus. Also, the horizontal scroll wheel (thumb scroll wheel) has more travel which allows scrolling farther with each flick of the thumb.The rubbery surface that is on the MX Master 3S has been replaced with finely, serrated, plastic body and silicone surfaces on the Actions Ring button and the lower, right side of the mouse. The new silicone surfaces are slippery which makes it more difficult to lift the mouse. The MX Master 4 requires a different grip with your hand because of these new surfaces.Overall, the MX Master 4 is a great mouse which allows better efficiency and workflow in general computing, but it is definitely not a gaming mouse.

MX4 mouse is too slippery, compared to the MX3S. Haptics are nice but not critical. Returned after trying for a few days to like it. Will stay with my MX3S, for now.

Pros:- USB-C dongle is tiny & worked instantly- I was hesitant about the new haptic feedback button but it works & feels just right- Feet are bigger & glide smoother- Connection is strong I’ve had 0 issues- Mag scrolling speed is satisfyingly faster plus quieter than ever- Fit objectively feels better in the palm than 3S- Software works flawlessly- Allegedly is built with materials that last even longer than 3S- Tracks with no issue on my glass mousepadCons:- Doesn’t come with a charging cable anymore!- 3S was already heavy if you’re used to a gaming mouse & the 4 is no different- Has a bigger battery & charging speed is fast but because of the new features it doesn’t last any longer- Wish this had a tiny OLED screen for battery life % ect.

Good mouse overall. I moved to the MX Master 4 because the left click on my MX Master 3S started acting up. The MX Master 4 feels familiar, with small refinements like the new haptic feedback feature and a better-placed horizontal scroll wheel. The experience is very similar to the previous model, so the upgrade is more of a minor improvement than a big change.

Well built. Large size, which is a good thing for large hands. The haptic feedback feels nice, but almost no software supports it, so what’s the point? I was hoping you’d get buzzing when mousing around the screen in Windows, but that’s not how it works. This mouse is very heavy – coming from a very lightweight Glorious D mouse, it is noticable how this Logitech feels moving around.Logitech’s software to use the fancy features is too many MBs in size. Why? It’s a mouse driver, why do I need to have this running at all times? Plus to even see if other software supports the haptic tools, you need to make a Logitech account. For a mouse. Think about that.At the end of the day, I tried it out for a week and ultimately returned it. Too many negatives. If the haptic feedback worked in all Windows applications, I’d probably have kept it because it’s a cool gimmick, but between the software bloat of the drivers and nothing really using the haptic feedback, totally not worth it for me.

My MX Master 2 from several years ago finally gave up the ghost. So I upgraded to the new MX 4. There are some real improvements. The thumb button is very nice, as well as a new 3rd front side button. All the buttons are programmable with a lot of nice choices. For example, you can set the top little button with the essential controls for playing music – volume, pause, next, previous. Nice.
